About Milana

Over 30 years
in education.

A commitment to every learner.

I’m Milana Kovacevic, founder of Oak Path Education. I offer families experienced, independent guidance grounded in more than 30 years of working in education.

My aim is to help children and young people reach their potential by providing clear, practical support and targeted specialist teaching, informed by a deep understanding of educational needs, child development and inclusive practice.

A different kind of support

Oak Path is not general tutoring or one-off advice. It provides experienced, independent guidance for families who need to understand the whole picture, identify what may be getting in the way and decide the most useful next steps.

Drawing on more than 30 years in education and current leadership in learning support, I combine practical knowledge of how children learn with a clear understanding of how schools, assessments and specialist services work. The aim is to replace confusion with clarity and give families a realistic, actionable plan.

My experience

A broad background across education and SEND.

Early years and primary education

Experience across children’s centres, early years settings and primary education, developing a strong understanding of child development and early learning.

Secondary education and SEND leadership

I currently lead Learning Support at an independent London school, working with pupils with a wide range of educational needs and collaborating with teaching staff, families and external professionals.

Understanding assessments

I help families interpret existing professional reports – including educational psychology, specialist teaching, speech and language therapy (SaLT) and occupational therapy (OT) reports – and translate recommendations into practical support and targeted intervention.

EHCPs and examination access

I support families through EHCP processes. I have experience establishing and overseeing GCSE examination access arrangements in accordance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) requirements.

My approach

Practical, collaborative support tailored to each child and family.

Understanding the whole picture

I take time to listen and consider every aspect of a child’s needs before recommending a way forward.

Making complex information accessible

I help families understand assessments, professional terminology and school processes, so they can make informed decisions.

Targeted specialist teaching

I translate learning profiles into individualised intervention for literacy, numeracy, dyslexia- and dyscalculia-related needs, processing, working memory, attention and executive functioning.

Building confidence and independence

Working collaboratively with parents, teachers and other professionals where appropriate, I aim to strengthen skills and build greater confidence and independence over time.

“Milana brings a rare balance of systemic insight, deep empathy and clear goal-setting. She communicates transparently, works collaboratively across professional teams and keeps families’ needs at the centre of the support plan.”
